LEMON
Believed to be native to Asia, specifically north-eastern India, Myanmar and China, lemons entered Europe from Southern Italy in second century AD. It was used as an ornamental plant in early Arab gardens. It became widely available throughout the Mediterranean region by the 16thcentury. It is known for its citrusy and refreshing taste and energising aroma. It is widely used in drinks, main courses and desserts. Rich in antioxidants, it is also known for it abilities to neutralise odour. Alpveda lemon essential oil is obtained from mild steam distillation of lemon peels. Unlike cold pressing, steam distillation ensures that the resulting essential oil is not phototoxic and can be used on the skin with lotions and other oils.
DIRECTIONS FOR USE
- Put 3-4 drops in your air diffuser for an energising and uplifting environment
- Add 1-2 in a water for an antioxidant rich hydration
- Add 2-3 drops in your bath for a fresh start to your day
- Mix 1-2 drops with carrier oil and honey and use it as a hydrating and refreshing face mask
